Getting it right before it is closed in
New home plumbing is the part of a build nobody sees and everybody notices when it is wrong. Every fixture position, every fall on a drain and every hot water run is decided long before the walls are lined.

Water supply
Bringing water into the house and distributing it: the main, the meter connection, isolation points, and the hot and cold runs to every fixture in the plan. Pipe sizing and run lengths matter here — they decide the pressure at the shower and how long you stand there waiting for hot water.
Waste and drainage
The sanitary drainage for every fixture, the stack and venting, floor wastes, and the stormwater. Falls have to be right the first time, because a drain that does not run properly is not something you fix later without pulling something apart.
Hot water
Choosing the system and, just as importantly, where it goes. Fuel type, size for the number of people in the house and the distance from the unit to the bathrooms all feed into it. See hot water systems for more detail.
Gas
Where the plan includes gas — a cooktop, hot water, a heater, an outdoor kitchen — the gas lines get run at the same time as the plumbing. Doing it in the one pass is far simpler than adding gas to a finished house. See gas fitting.
Fixtures and fit-off
Once the house is lined, tiled and the cabinetry is in, the fixtures go on: toilet suites, basins, baths, showers, sinks, laundry tubs, tapware and the hot water system connection. This is the stage where the choices made months earlier either line up or do not.
Working alongside the build
Woolfords Plumbing does the plumbing and gas and works in with the builder and the rest of the trades. The plumbing has stages that other work depends on — the slab, the rough-in, the fit-off — so being organised about those dates keeps everybody moving.
